Go There Now: North End, Boston

In Boston, my friend and I rented an apartment (tiny, cramped, but well-located) in the North End neighborhood, aka Little Italy. A piece of advice: If you are trying to eat low-carb, do not come here. It is Italian restaurant on top of Italian restaurant, each one better than the last, and the pastries at Mike’s Bakery will make you gain 10 pounds in 2 days and not even care. The people watching is top notch, too – lots of guys who look like they just walked off the set of The Sopranos.

We were also treated to a random celebrity sighting: Vanna White was filming a promo for Wheel of Fortune in front of the Paule Revere statue. She was tiny.
