Things That Are Good
I went to Miami expecting to have to work my ass off and not have any fun. I was half right — I worked really hard, sometimes 14 hours at a stretch, but I also played really hard, which was great. I got to know people I work with who I don’t usually get to talk to, and also met some incredibly cool people from around the world (especially Germany). Waking up at the crack of dawn and looking at my tired, haggard mug in the mirror wasn’t fun, but I totally earned those bags under my eyes.
I’m now recuperating for the weekend and then it’s back to my normal life with no expense account and no partying till 4 a.m. *Sigh* poor me.
